The Scottish Government website contains many spreadsheets containing datasets and other useful information. These have been identified through scraping the site and brought together into a single area with a faceted browsing interface. This is the lab space, and so there may be errors in classification etc. The end purpose is to make it easier to navigate and use of these sources of data. There are a few thousand spreadsheet and related documents. Please be aware that the Exhibit browser view may take a few seconds to load up completely.
There are also a large number of PDF documents on the Scottish Government website and these have also been brought together into a faceted browser. Again, this might take several seconds to load.

The NHS Health Protection Scotland website contains many sources of information that are not in open formats.
The Scottish Neighbourhood Statistics (SNS) data is available for download as XML. This lab experiment takes this raw XML data, stores it in a native XML database and then uses XQuery to provide a RESTful API. The purpose is to make it easier to access defined subsets of the SNS data via URLs. These can be used to import SNS subsets into Excel and statistical analysis software.
